Page of Wands
Minor Arcana, Wands, Fire
The card
A young figure in a bright tunic holds a staff and looks up its length as though it might tell him something. He is not yet skilled. He is completely, unembarrassedly interested — and in the suit of fire, interest is the whole beginning.
The Page carries messages and first attempts. Nothing he brings is finished, and it does not need to be. He is the permission to try something before you are qualified for it.
Page of Wands upright
News arrives, or curiosity does. A flirtation, a course, a creative experiment, an invitation to try something you have never done. There is a lightness to this that is easy to dismiss and worth taking seriously.
Explore without loading it with expectation. The value here is in learning what the thing actually is, not in whether it becomes your future. Let yourself be a beginner and enjoy it; the Page's real gift is enthusiasm that has not yet been talked out of itself by anyone competent.
Page of Wands reversed
Reversed, the enthusiasm never converts. Big talk with nothing behind it, a plan described in detail to five people and started by none, an interest abandoned the moment it required practice.
There may be immaturity here, or a boastfulness that is covering uncertainty. The gentler reading is fear of showing yourself: an idea kept as a conversation because as long as it is only talked about, it cannot be judged. Do the small unimpressive version. That is how the Page becomes anything else.
🜁Thoughts
There is genuine interest — a wish to write, to find out more, to test your reaction. The thinking is lively but not deep yet; this is exploration rather than intention.
🜄Feelings and relationships
Sympathy, flirtation, excitement, admiration. Sincere in the moment and entirely untested by time. Do not read more permanence into it than it is currently offering.
🜃Work and money
A new skill, an internship, a creative task, an offer that has not been fully defined yet. Financially a modest start with real potential rather than an immediate return.
