Knight of Wands
Minor Arcana, Wands, Fire
The card
A knight in orange rides a rearing horse, armour on, visor up, already leaning forward. He is going, and the question of where has not slowed him down at all.
This is desire in motion. The Knight of Wands brings genuine heat, courage and momentum, and he brings the specific problem of fire: it goes wherever the fuel is, and it does not remember what it burned yesterday.
Knight of Wands upright
A bold move, a journey, an ardent pursuit, a project launched on nerve. Something in your life wants speed right now, and speed is the correct answer — hesitating would let the moment cool.
Go, but keep your promises attached to you. The Knight's courage is real; his weakness is the gap between the intensity of his beginning and his interest in the middle. If you can hold responsibility while moving this fast, this is one of the most effective cards in the deck.
Knight of Wands reversed
Reversed, the heat goes everywhere except forward. A temper that flares over nothing, plans made and unmade, a person who appears intensely and disappears without explanation, action taken with no thought for what follows it.
If this describes someone in your life, watch what they do across a month rather than what they say in an evening. If it describes you, the remedy is not to become cautious but to become accountable: finish one thing, keep one promise, stay past the point where it stops being exciting.
🜁Thoughts
The mind wants to act, to pursue, to feel something strongly. There is a plan, but it exists as a direction rather than a worked-out strategy, and it will be revised the moment something more interesting appears.
🜄Feelings and relationships
Passion, physical attraction, excitement, jealousy. Vivid feeling with real force behind it — whether it lasts depends entirely on what surrounds it, because nothing in this card provides staying power on its own.
🜃Work and money
A business trip, a startup, active sales, a fast project. Money arrives in waves; the dangers are over-estimating your capacity and treating a gamble as a plan.
