The card
A child rides a white horse under a sun with a human face, arms open, holding nothing and hiding nothing. Behind, a wall of sunflowers turning toward the light. This is the plainest card in the deck: what is here is good, and it is not concealing a trap.
The Sun is warmth without ambiguity. After the Moon's fog, everything is illuminated, named and true. It is the card of visible success, restored health, and the particular happiness of having nothing to explain away.
The Sun upright
Things go well, and they go well openly. Success, recognition, health returning, a relationship that is simply good, a piece of clarity that makes the last six months make sense. What is hidden becomes plain, and what becomes plain is favourable.
Say yes to visibility now. This is a season for being seen, celebrated and taken at your word rather than for careful positioning. Let yourself enjoy the good thing without immediately auditing it for hidden costs — the Sun is one of the few cards that genuinely means what it says.
The Sun reversed
Reversed, the sun is behind cloud rather than gone. Success is real but delayed, joy is present but muted, something good is happening and you cannot quite feel it. The problem is often less in the circumstances than in your capacity to receive them.
This position can also show performed happiness — the bright face maintained for an audience while something underneath goes unaddressed. Nobody is fooled for long, least of all you. Say the truer, smaller thing. The warmth is still available; it is simply waiting for you to stop working so hard at looking warm.
