The card
The Magician stands at a table holding every suit at once — wand, cup, sword and coin — one hand raised to the heavens, one pointing at the ground. He is the moment intention becomes act. Nothing is missing from his table; the only question the card ever asks is whether he knows what he is reaching for.
This is the card of personal power in its working form. Not luck, not permission, not waiting to be chosen — the deliberate direction of what you already have. When the Magician appears, the tools are in your hands whether or not you have noticed them.
The Magician upright
You have what this situation requires: the skill, the contacts, the knowledge, the voice. The Magician arrives to tell you that the shortage you have been describing to yourself is not real. Act with confidence, launch the thing, make the call, speak plainly about what you can do.
This is a favourable time to negotiate, to present, to be the one who begins rather than the one who responds. Influence is available to you now, and it flows toward whoever is willing to be visible and precise about their intention. Say what you want in a full sentence and the world tends to arrange itself around it.
The Magician reversed
Reversed, the Magician turns his gifts sideways. This is cleverness used to manage impressions rather than to build — charm standing in for substance, promises made because they land well rather than because they will be kept. If you are on the receiving end, look at what has actually been delivered rather than what was described.
The gentler reading is talent left in the drawer. You know exactly what you are capable of and you are not doing it, because doing it would make the result measurable. Fear of being seen falling short keeps more power idle than any lack of ability ever has.
